History:

The first traces of skiing in the Sierra Nevada massif date back to the late 19th century. In 1912, the Sociedad Sierra Nevada was founded – one of the oldest mountain clubs in Spain – and three years later, the San Francisco mountain hut was opened in the Campos de Otero area. This facility became the base for the first ski trails and a venue for winter sports events.
At Easter in 1925, members of the Madrid-based Real Sociedad Española de Alpinismo Peñalara together with the Club Alpino Español organised a week-long sports and tourism trip to the Sierra Nevada. The programme included, among others, cross-country skiing, slalom, downhill events, and a ski jumping competition held on a small natural snow jump near Campos de Otero. This gave rise to the Semana Deportiva de Sierra Nevada – a winter sports week that, with breaks caused by the Civil War and World War II, was repeated over the following decades.
According to Spanish accounts, ski jumping remained a regular part of the programme at least from 1925 until the 1940s–1950s.
With the development of a modern ski resort, the main competitions moved to other parts of the mountain, while the old trails near the San Francisco hut and the small ski jump fell out of use.

Dziękuję za odpowiedź. Myślę że to zła wiadomość, obniżająca rangę dyscypliny. Miałem tez nadzieję, że przy okazji Uniwersjady odrodzą się skoki w Hiszpanii, to największy kraj europejski bez skoków. A warunki naturalne i klimatyczne jak najbardziej są. Szkoda. Liczę na to, że wkrótce dowiemy się, kto przeprowadzi konkursy Akademickich Mistrzostw Świata.

Zimowa Uniwersjada 2015

Podczas Zimowej Uniwersjady 2015 nie będzie rozgrywanych konkursów skoków narciarskich i kombinacji norweskiej. Od 2014 roku obie te dyscypliny przestają być obowiązkowymi dyscyplinami do rozgrywania na każdej Uniwersjadzie i organizatorzy tych zawodów począwszy od 2015 roku nie będą już musieli ich przeprowadzać, z czego rzecz jasna skorzystali Hiszpanie, którzy nie posiadają żadnego obiektu, na którym można by było te zawody rozegrać. Za to od 2014 roku mają być rozgrywane Akademickie Mistrzostwa Świata w obu tych dyscyplinach, ale poza tym, że mają być, to póki co nic o nich nie wiadomo.

ZIMOWA UNIWERSJADA 2015

Na jakim obiekcie rozegrane zostaną konkursy skoków i kombinacji w czasie Uniwersjady w Grenadzie w 2015 r.? Nie znalazłem żadnej informacji o budowie nowych obiektów, a Hiszpania nie ma żadnej skoczni z homologacją. Czy wiadomo cos na ten temat?
