In 1972, members of the LZS Stara Wieś built an 18-meter ski jumping hill with wooden inrun on the initiative of the club president Adam Fickowski. The landing zone was partly in a pond. The record was set by Fickowski's son Wojciech, who later became president of the Sokół Szczyrk club. The hill was closed in 1975 and after some time the tower was dismantled and the pond was filled with debris and soil. Today it is hard to imagine that there was a hill there.
