In Michałowice before the World War II a ski jumping hill was built which was quite big for those times next to the former recreation house "Landhaus am Berge" (today Pension "Zacisze"). The facility had a large stone take-off and a wooden inrun. Local competitions were held on it, with competitors coming down from, among others, Szklarska Poręba and Jagniątków. Unfortunately, due to its insignificance compared to the ski jumping hill at Owcze Skały or Sobieszów, the history of the facility ended with the advent of war, and the ski jumpers from Michałowice moved to those facilities.
Interestingly, in the 1960s, in the eastern part of the town in a meadow above Sudecka Street, a small, provisional ski jump was also set up for local amateurs. It had a wooden construction and was used for several years.
