History:

Tøndevoldbakken (Halvorstugua) was located on a slope in the Søre Ål district of Lillehammer, on the grounds of the Tøndevold / Halvorstuen (Halvorstugua) farm. In accounts from local residents, Tøndevoldbakken is described as a “60-metre hill” and served mainly ski jumpers from Lillehammer and the surrounding area – memories mention competitions still being held here in the 1959–1960 seasons. According to these same recollections, the hill record belonged to Lillehammer-born jumper Nils Laursen, although the distance of his best jump is no longer known. Nils Laursen was also known as one of the key figures involved in the construction of the nearby Grøtåsbakken.
Independent reports from old newspapers indicate that in the 1940s Hans Nyseth (45.5 m in 1947) and Hans A. Haagensen (47.5 m in 1948) also set records on Tøndevoldbakken.
In the first half of the 1960s the hill was dismantled – according to local recollections, the inrun ceased to be used around 1960 and the structure was taken down. Today, no visible traces of the former hill remain in the terrain.

Name of hill

I believe the name of the hill is Tønnevoldsbakken. (Written as Tøndevoldbakken in a newspaper from 1947.)
