History:

The winter sports section of BSG Hallbach, formerly a town district of Pfaffroda, constructed their ski jumping hill in 1953. It was located close to the fishing ponds at what is now B171 towards Pfaffroda. After the trial jumps in January 1954 the wooden take-off was converted and the inrun structure was extended. The hill was officially inaugurated in February 1954. Despite of ice-cold weather with -22 degrees, many spectators attended and admired the small group of competing ski jumpers.
The ski jumping hill was only used until winter 1957, but then activities ended due to the unsatisfactory location with bushes and the Bielabach creek in the outrun. The hill was dismantled in end of 1950s.
