People say that already at about 1900 a local porcelain industrialist had built the first jump at Desná. It is sure that there were many ski jumping hills in and around the town in the 1920’s and 30’s and today’s ski jumps in the valley of the white Desná have also there origin at that time.
After World War II they were renewed and later in 1955 the shape of the ski jumping facility as it is today was developed. Because of strong winds in winter 1967 the outrun on a bridge over the stream broke and the reconstruction of the whole jump needed much time and patience.
In 1980 the 3-ski-jump-facility with K60, K38 and K20 was opened - all jumps plastic covered. Every year winter and summer competitions for the young jumpers take place.
Since over the years the mattings had become shabby, in 2006 a large sanitation and modernization of the facility was done and all three jumps were covered with new plastic mattings. In the meantime, a plastic covered K8 mini hill was added and in spring 2020 the very active JKL Desná started another modernization of the whole ski jumping facility.
