History:

Before II World War a small ski resort called Crystella Ski Hill was opened in Crystal Falls, Michigan. It also had a small "junior" ski jump, which became popular in 1941 when floodlights were installed and night ski jumping was organized there. The ski jump operated until early 1970s thanks to work done by Duaine K. Wenzel, biologist and former university skier. Later alpine skiers took over that place and nowadays it is used only by them.
