In 1970’s and 1980’s Koskullskulle was one of the important centers of ski jumping in Sweden, until the years of 90’s ski jumpers and the team of Koskullskulle AIF were able to win numerous Swedish championships. The most famous athlete from the small town near Gällivare in Norbotten in the far north of Sweden was Jan Boklöv, the inventor of the V-style, which revolutionised ski jumping in early 1990’s.
Nowadays ski jumping activities on the three 1929 built ski jumps of Frejabacken have decreased clearly.
