History:

From 1930 to 1964 there was a ski jumping hill on the Waldweid above Waldenburg, on which jumps of up to 50 meters are said to have been possible. The competitions on the Waldschanze attracted large crowds of spectators, but there were also many dangerous falls due to the steep landing slope.
