History:

Skiclub Zweisimmen was already founded in November 1904. On January 13-15, 1906 it organized the "2nd Great Ski-Race of Switzerland" - the (international) championships of Switzerland at that time. Junior jumper Eduard Capitti achieved the largest distance of 21 meter. Also a youth competition was held on a smaller hill at Rinderberg. Later, there was another ski jumping hill at Kobis Rain.
On January 1, 1939, the new Weiermatten-Schanze was inaugurated. The 40-meter hill was built based on the initiative of Ernst Friedli. During the Swiss workers ski race in 1939 Hans Rodel jumped 43 meters there - the further whereabouts of the ski jump are not known.
