On the shore of the river Volkhov, not far from the town of the same name, there was a 40-metre-high ski jumping hill, which was put into operation at the Snezhinka ski base. It was built by Stroymontazh Volkhov, a local company that actively participated in the life of the town. But in the 1990s the facility burned down and ski jumping in Volkhov was forgotten.
