The project of building a ski jumping hill in the north of Kongsberg began in 1945. Consultant Tunold-Hanssen found a proper location at Finnebråtatjernet. After 1,500 hours of voluntary work, the construction was completed right in time for the 1947 winter. The ski jump was in use for twelve years. In 1962, the inrun tower collapsed and a new one was required, Eventually, this idea ran into the sand and the jumpers moved their activities to the Idrettspark.
