History:

The exact build date of Kongskollen is not known, the documentated history starts with its rebuilding in 1937, which has been carried out by the club members of the Åmot AIL. The fundament of the inrun tower was made of stone, the tower itself was made of wood. A speciality of the facility was its inrun which was very short because it was really close to river Drammenselva.
In 1945, floodlights were build next to the hill, but unfortunately both were severly damaged by a landslide two years later. This eventually led to closing and destruction of the facility in 1952. In 1957, Åmot IF (successor of Åmot AIL) applied to rebuild the facility, which was denied due to the permanent risk of further landslides.
