History:

In 1953 Wasenschanze was constructed in Swabian Pfullingen near Reutlingen, due to a lack of snow the opening was delayed until 1956.
Still today there is a ski jumping department at VfL Pfullingen, called “VfL Young Eagles”. In summertime they practise on plastic covered hills in the environment and in winter from time to time Wasenschanze is still used, too. Since spring 2009 both ski jumps at Ursulaberg are even covered with plastic mattings.
