There were several ski jumping hills in Police nad Metují. The "Na Nebíčku" facility was located next to the current allotment gardens, with a paddock at the ČSAD bus depot. It was a natural hill with a wooden take-off. The K-point of the hill was around 23 m. In 1957, during a student competition, the longest distance of 28.5 m was achieved by Šiška.
In 1959, the "Na Zámečku" jump was built.
In 1962-63 the biggest local ski jump (P35, K40) "Na Havlatce" was built with the support of ski jumping enthusiasts under the leadership of Jiří Čejka. All earthworks were carried out by farmers from the Suchý Důl state farm under the supervision of Josef Dostál. The outrun led to the post office. In the years 1962-1967, there had been team competitions for the local Grand Prix.
