History:

Already before World War I there were first winter sports activities at Hellmonsödt in Mühlviertel. Franz Bamberger and Edi Euler together with WSV Hellmonsödt then initiated the construction of a 40 meter ski jumping hill at Alt-Hellmonsödt in 1931. The wooden inrun tower collapsed during a storm in 1934, but was then reconstructed. In the famous Klosterhof competitions well-known ski jumpers from all over Austria participated.
After World War II a winter sports group was also part of SV Hellmonsödt from 1947 on. They organized smaller ski jumping competitions at Helmbach, where even talented jumpers like the young Bubi Bradl participated and reached distances of more than 50 meters.
