History:

The first Winter Carnival at Newport was held by Newport Outing Club at Blue Mountain already back in 1917.
In 1967 a small 20 meter hill was set up at Newport High School. An additional K32 was then build in 1972. Still today the ski jumping hills are used and now dedicated to the initiators from early days, John W. McCrillis and Roland Tremblay.
