The first ski jumping hill of the club GIF (excluding temporary makeshift structures) was located in Trängschakten.
Sollefteå GIF (full name: Sollefteå Gymnastik- och Idrottsförening) was founded in 1898 as a multi-sport club offering a variety of disciplines. Initially, it focused on gymnastics and athletics, and in 1905, a football section was established.
Interestingly, maintaining the facility in Trängschakten caused financial difficulties that ultimately led to the resignation of the club's board.
