The Polstjärnebacken ski jump was inaugurated with a competition on January 21, 1945 with an audience of 503 people. The hill record was set by Diman Lindström with a jump of 37 meters. In 1946 the hill was again improved and adapted for large competitions. In 1947 the Junior Swedish Championships took place on the hill, and a new hill record of 42.5 m was set by Hasse Nordin. Polstjärnebacken had electric lighting, so even jumping at night was possible there. The ski jump was demolished in 1968 by conscripts.
