The Ski Club Flims, founded in 1906, built the Selva-Schanze near the Flims-Waldhaus hotel complex in 1930. As part of the opening competition, Sigmund Ruud stood a jump on 53 meters. On February 1, 1931, the Bündner Association ski race took place there.
In 1949 the Selva ski jump was put back into operation as a K41. From then on, competitions with international participants were held there again. In 1950, Norwegian Arne Hoel won in the course of the Graubünden ski jumping tournament. The highlight was the organization of the junior jumping event within the Kongsberg Cup in February 1953 (the elite jumping took place in Unterwasser). In 1970, the Swiss university championships took place in Flims with the jumping competitions on the Selvaschanze.
