History:

Les Praises is a small, now-defunct ski jumping hill located on the western slope of Mount Cochet, about 1.5 km northwest of the centre of Sainte-Croix, near the hamlet of the same name in the canton of Vaud. Contemporary local sources refer only to the “former ski jumping site” (ancien site du tremplin de saut à ski), passed along the route of the Spartan Race obstacle run leading from the Avattes area towards Les Praises. This indicates that the facility has been completely dismantled, and only the hillside remains, used today as a recreational area and part of local hiking trails. In contrast to other structures in Sainte-Croix – the large Tremplin du Châble (K87), the Tremplin des Rasses (K40) and the Tremplin de Mont-des-Cerfs (K20) – Les Praises remains a more sparsely documented, local site.
