History:

The small village Sopota is situated roughly in the geographical center of Slovenia and ski jumping is very popular there. Since 2001 there has been Športno Društvo Sopota, which is organizing annual ski jumping competitions on its ski jumping facility with K35, K20 and K13 in February/March. Furthermore, the local ski jumpers compete in the competitions of surrounding clubs and there is a journey to the annual ski flying World Cup in Planica.
