In the village of Podkraj above the Vipava Valley, at the junction of the Nanos, Trnovski gozd and Hrušica plateaus, there was a small complex of three ski jumping hills located in the hamlet of Hrušica, which administratively belongs to Podkraj.
According to a 1999 resolution of the Ajdovščina Municipal Council, the ski slope and the ski jumping hill in Hrušica (cadastral municipality of Podkraj) were classified as municipal sports facilities, confirming the importance of the local skiing centre in this area. In later years, the ski jumps were completely dismantled; they are now listed in the facility register as “destroyed,” and only traces of the former slope remain in the terrain.
