History:

In the village of Podvrh, located near Braslovče – the hometown of Matjaž Debelak, the first Yugoslavian Olympic medalist at the Winter Games (Calgary 1988) – there once stood a ski jumping hill with a K-point of 72.
Its construction was the result of the ambition and determination of the Ski Association Braslovče, which, after modernizing the hill at Karlovo in 1972, decided to create a larger facility that would meet the growing needs of the local ski jumping section. Work began around 1975, and due to limited financial resources and the heavy reliance on voluntary labor, the project stretched into the mid-1980s.
The official opening of the hill took place in January 1985 and was marked by the Slovenian Junior Championships (older juniors). At that time, the hill became an important venue for the development of young jumpers in the region as well as a stage for local competitions.
Unfortunately, with the beginning of the 21st century, sporting activity gradually declined. By 2004, the hill had ceased to be used, the infrastructure deteriorated over time, and the facility found new, alternative purposes. In recent years, the site has become a venue for downhill mountain biking competitions, taking advantage of the natural shape of the landing slope and the surrounding terrain.
