History:

The ski jump in Ustroń was built in the 1930s in the Zawodzie district, at the foot of Mount Równica. The facility was one of several local sports initiatives in the Silesian Beskids, created in the interwar period by local sports clubs and skiing enthusiasts.
It was located near today’s Nadrzeczna Street. For about three decades the hill served mainly local athletes, but no reliable information has been preserved regarding specific competitions or sporting achievements associated with it. It was dismantled in the 1960s.
Its name lived on in local tradition as “Równica,” referring to the dominant mountain massif under which it operated. At that time, Równica was becoming an increasingly popular destination for walks and excursions. In 1927 a tourist shelter was built there, and in 1934 construction of an asphalt road from the center of Ustroń began, which further increased the accessibility of the area.
Today, virtually no structural elements of the ski jump remain, and its site is located near Ustroń’s spa district, with numerous sanatoriums, walking trails, and viewpoints.
