History:

In Strachocina, the first amateur jumping competitions and two amateur ski jumps – the “small” and the “mammoth” – appeared as early as the 1990s, with distances of around 15 meters being achieved. It was during this period that the local ski jumping tradition began, initiated by enthusiasts and local youth.
At the beginning of the 2000s, at the site of the “mammoth” jump, a local group of residents together with young people undertook cleanup work, which resulted in clearing local trees and shaping the slope with a bulldozer. These actions were intended to enable the development of the area through the construction of a ski slope or a ski jump.
In 2011, a group of young residents carried out further cleanup work, thereby reviving the implementation of the original plans — on the site of the old “mammoth” jump, the first snow-based jump was built. At that time, the K-point was set at 15 meters, and the facility was refurbished and used locally for entertainment and amateur training in the 1990s.
In the following years, the facility was systematically enlarged and improved — first modifications allowed reaching K20, then K25, and later K30.
The jump gradually began hosting amateur competitions and demonstrations, and materials documenting the jumps in Strachocina were created; the jump also gained the name “Strachoczanka,” used in local and national publications. Ultimately, the jump was expanded to K30 and HS34.
In 2024, the jump was covered with plastic matting and professional inrun tracks were installed.
After the successful modernization and installation of the matting, plans began to appear for constructing a larger facility (K60).
