History:

The glory days of the ski jumping hill with wooden inrun tower in Szaflary took place in the 1960s, when the local enthusiast Stanisław Zacherek trained ski jumpers of the club "Wisła-Gwardia" Zakopane. Among others, Czesław Janik grew up on the hill, who beat the unofficial summer world record in Frenštát in 1970, and became Polish champion in 1973. Years later, the ski jump was destroyed and ceased to be used.
