For several years there was a K15 ski jump in Jawornik. The initiator of its construction was Mariusz Pustuła, who recalled that initially the local youngsters simply skied down the surrounding hills, but this was not enough for them and they decided to create a place for jumping. The informal coach of the ski jumpers from Jawornik was Franciszek Moskal. The facility was built without any financial support, by their own efforts, based on construction plans of ski jumps from Wisła and Zakopane. The material for the construction was supplied by nearby residents, who also supported the young ski-jumping enthusiasts with a tractor, as well as with horses that fetched wood from deep in the forest. One of the record holders of the facility was Fabian Cudak, nicknamed " Małysz", who reached a distance of 23 metres. This result was later improved by Mariusz Pustuła to 24 metres. The ski jump was dismantled in 2011.
Interestingly, Mariusz Pustuła was intensively involved in jumping, reaching a life record of 110 metres on the Wielka Krokiew in Zakopane. He later became a firefighter, but the sport is still present in his life, being the Polish champion and vice-champion in stair running in full firefighter uniform.
