Hallanbakken was located east of the current Granåsen ski jumping complex, in the Leinstrand district, which was an independent municipality until 1964. The facility was built in 1918 by the ski club Leinstrand Idrettslag. It was a natural hill with a construction point of about 45 meters and was in use until around 1936. In January 1918, a competition called "amtsrennet" was held there, during which jumps over 30 meters were recorded. In 1932, the hill was modernized – new stands and a wooden inrun tower were built, and during the first event after the reconstruction, a record of 46.5 meters was set. Hallanbakken was an important venue for the local sports community, serving as a training and competition site for young ski jumpers from the region. It was also shared with other sports clubs.
