Hammerløkkbakken was located on a hillside above the village of Buvika in the municipality of Skaun (Trøndelag), overlooking the Gaulosen bay, an inlet of the Trondheimsfjord. The hill belonged to the local club Buvik IL and had a size of around 30 metres, with an official winter record of 36.0 m.
In the anniversary publication “Sør-Trøndelag Skikrets 1904–1974”, Hammerløkkbakken was listed as one of the first ski jumps in Buvika featuring a built, artificial take-off. It was noted that the hill had been used extensively and was modernised several times over the years. After its closure, only faint traces of the former infrastructure remained in the terrain. In the immediate vicinity of Hammerløkkbakken there was also the larger Sandbrauta hill (K approx. 35 m), likewise belonging to Buvik IL and also no longer existing today.
