Liabakken (Lidarende) was the largest ski jumping hill in the municipality of Gloppen in western Norway. The facility was located on a forested slope above the village of Vereide, in the eastern part of Nordstranda by the Gloppefjord, east of the Ommedal area.
It was built with the participation of the local club Skilaget Fjellhug and allowed jumps of more than 60 metres. At its peak, Liabakken hosted competitions with participants from across the Nordfjord region and served as the main ski jumping venue in Gloppen.
The best-known results from the hill date from March 1956, when Norwegian jumper Asbjørn Flemmen achieved 66.5 metres in training and, one day later – on 11 March 1956 – jumped 60.0 metres in competition, which is regarded as the official hill record.
Interest in ski jumping in Gloppen began to decline towards the end of the 1960s. Together with other local hills (including Alme in Fjellbygda and a smaller hill in Jølet near the Nordfjord Folkemuseum), Liabakken gradually fell into disuse, lacked maintenance, and was eventually dismantled.
Today, the slope of the former hill is almost completely overgrown with forest, and the site serves only as a natural part of the hillside, used for example for field activities. Only traces in the terrain remain as evidence of the former ski jump.

Hill record
The hill was K56 in 1963. Asbjørn Flemmen (Norway) set a hill record of 60 m on 11 March 1956. Other sources (newspaper/book) have the hill record at 61 m (Asbjørn Flemmen, 1956), 62.5 m (Asbjørn Flemmen, date not mentioned) and 63 m (jumper and date not mentioned), but the 60 m record seems to be the most believable so far. However, Asbjørn Flemmen also had a longest standing jump of 66.5 m in training on 10 March 1956.
