History:

In 2019–2020, the Hafslo IL club, together with the municipality and Sogn Skisenter AS, prepared a project for the new K-10 and K-19 ski jumps as a nærmiljøanlegg – a local training facility. In the municipal sports infrastructure register of Luster, both ski jumps initially appear as planned investments, and documents from 2020 include a detailed cost estimate and a funding application. According to the protocol of the Hopp- og kombinertkomiteen Sogn og Fjordane Skikrins (the Jumping and Nordic Combined Committee of the Norwegian Ski Association), by the winter of 2021/22 the K10 and K20 ski jumps (the latter being the updated version of the original K19) were already sufficiently developed to allow jumping. On 13 January 2022, Hafslo IL launched the first hoppleik sessions (jumping play/training for children) using provisional ski jumps.
The official opening can be considered the SFE HoppCup event held on 5 March 2022. On that day, competitions were held for the first time in the new skileikanlegg (jumping area) at Banktrekket, using three small ski jumps of 5, 10, and 19 metres. Participants ranged in age from 4 to 68. A record of 7.5 m was set on the smallest hill (Jens Engesæter Eliassen), and 19 m on the largest K19 hill (Jon Ove Lomheim).
Since the winter of 2021/22, Sogn Skisenter has held weekly training sessions and local competitions for children and young athletes. In the winter of 2022/23, the venue hosted the promotional programme “Skisprell med Hopp” (ski fun with jumping) of the Norwegian Ski Association.
In the following years, work began to develop the complex into a year-round facility. An agreement from 2023 between Hafslo IL and Sogn Skisenter AS provided for the transformation of the existing winter ski jumps K10 and K19 into year-round K10 and K20 hills, as well as the construction of an additional smallest K-5 hill, all equipped with plastic surfaces and supporting infrastructure. In 2025, the regional ski association reported a new configuration of 3, 6, 12, and 22 metres, with completed summer inrun tracks on the three largest hills and planned finalisation of the landing areas in summer 2025.
The complex is jointly operated by Hafslo IL and Sogn Skisenter AS. The key figure responsible for the creation and development of the facility is Jon Ove Lomheim – a long-time Hafslo IL official, member of the jumping and Nordic combined committee in Sogn og Fjordane Skikrins, coach and organiser. Only local and regional competitions are held on the ski jumps (SFE HoppCup, Hoppcup, hoppleik).

Nice to see new small hills getting added. Always nice to see as in my country for some time new small facilities arent a thing..
