History:

Botnabakken was built in 1962 and became the county's largest hill after an enlargement in the 1980's. In 1973, it was originally planned to host the Norwegian junior championships, but eventually these were moved to Raufoss. However, Førde hosted the Norwegian national championships in Nordic Combined.
After the resolution to enlarge and renovate the facility in Stryn, the end for Botnabakken was about to come. In 1994, the last jumps were made here.
