History:

The Ravnfloget ski jumping complex was located on the northern slope of Mount Ramnfloget above the village of Eidsvik. The facilities lay just above today’s lower secondary school (Vatne ungdomsskule) and the Ravn sports ground. Their construction was carried out by the local sports club Idrettslaget Ravn.
The first ski jump in Vatne, remembered by the local community, existed already before the Second World War in Vatnedalen, on the slope opposite the present-day racetrack. In the 1950s, an expansion of this facility was considered, but the plans were never realized. In the late 1960s, it was decided to build a new complex on the northern slope of Ramnfloget. The land belonged to the Johangarden farm; IL Ravn was granted the right to use it on the condition that an annual competition for the “Tenfjordpokalen” challenge trophy would be held there.
An article in the newspaper Sunnmørsposten from 20 December 1966 reported that the earthworks for the new jump at Eidet were practically completed. Most of the work had been done with a bulldozer, with a digger finishing the remainder. In the evenings, local residents worked voluntarily by the light of Petromax lamps, and the installation of floodlighting was also planned. The project included one larger hill with a K-point of about 36–37 m, allowing jumps up to approximately 40 m, and a smaller hill with a range of around 25 m. This suggests that the complex entered use in the 1966/67 winter season.
According to local accounts, two hills of roughly 43 m and 25 m were initially built. A few years later, a two-storey judges’ tower was added to the larger hill. In the 1980s, Ravnfloget became one of the most important ski jumping venues in Sunnmøre, and IL Ravn was regarded as a leading club in the region. At that time, the hills were enlarged to about 53 m and 45 m, a third hill of around 25 m was constructed, and the smallest training jumps of 10–12 m for children were added. The complex was also equipped with a ski lift.
No complete records of competitions held at Ravnfloget have been preserved. It is known that for a certain period, annual events for the Tenfjordpokalen were organised here, and the hills served mainly for training and regional competitions. One spectator recalls that on 19 February 1995 Joakim Helland achieved a distance of 54.5 m on the largest hill; this may have been an unofficial hill record.
In the following years, declining snow conditions in the region gradually led to the disappearance of ski jumping activity. The ski lift and most of the infrastructure were removed, and the landing and inrun areas became overgrown. Today, only the clear outlines of the embankments and some foundation remains are visible, and the complex is no longer used for sport. The slope of Ramnfloget has become a popular hiking destination, with a marked trail starting at the school and the IL Ravn sports ground.

Possible hill record

I don't know yet if it has been improved later, but on the K57 hill Joakim Helland (Norway) set a hill record of 54.5 m on 19 February 1995.
