History:

Ski activities and also ski jumping in Raudkleiv, which is located above Seljord, started in the 1880's. At that time, also Raudkleivbakken was built. In 1886, it became the venue of Olaf Berland's world record jump on 25.5 meters. Johannes Nordgården even jumped 1.5 meters longer, but fell. The ski jump was used until 1930 approximately. Nowadays, the Seljord Skisenter with cross-country tracks for summer and winter and a shooting range is located in Raudkleiv.
