History:

The history of the ski jumping facility in Geilo, a wintersport resort in the municipality of Hol, began in the local coffee store. On New Year's Eve 1919, landowner Svein Slåtta signed the papers which were needed for starting the construction.
Twelve years later, the hill was rebuilt and enlarged. According to the plans of the Norwegian Federation, a new inrun and judges' tower were built. On Christmas weekend 1951, the federation hosted a training competition with its Olympians. In 1965, floodlights were installed for the small hill next to the K60. Back then and also today, the location is surrounded by Alpine ski slopes.
