In 1948, the sports club Fossekallen IL built a ski jumping hill. It was called Arnebakken, but also known as "Guttebakke" (boys' hill), since it was mostly used by boys. Unfortunately, it had to be demolished in 1957, since there was a power line crossing above.
Already in the same year, three new ski jumps were built not too far away, the so-called Fossekallbakkene.
