Bogstadbakkene were two disused ski jumping hills in Styggedalen north of Bogstad farm with critical points of 17 and 30 meters respectively. Both were built and run by the Bogstadkameratene club, which was founded in 1931. In addition to the jumping hills, they also built the sports field here in the 1930s. The club, which was founded by people who worked on Bogstad farm, also had a sauna, but rented a clubhouse. There even was a dancefloor on the edge of the forest beyond the pitch.
On the largest hill, the hill record was 35 meters, set in 1946. There were floodlights in the large hill from just after the Second World War, so the hill was used a lot in the evenings. The small hill was built around 1950. In 1955, the club was converted into a pure handball club.
Around 1960, the scaffolding of the larger hill was rotten and had to be demolished. In 1967, Røa IL had it rebuilt, and the club was given the right to use the ground by the municipality together with Bogstadkameratene.
In addition to the two ski jumps, there was a sports field with a football pitch, running track, jumping pit and throwing rings for athletics. In 2009, the last ski jump scaffolding was demolished and the sports field is used as a parking lot.
