History:

Dalhauglia Hoppsenter in Bjørkelangen is a local ski jumping complex established in the early 21st century as a continuation of the region’s earlier jumping traditions. The facility was built between 2004 and 2005 on the initiative of local sports clubs, and its official opening, combined with the first competition and the launch of a ski jumping school, took place in January 2006. It is situated on a hillside above the town, next to a small alpine slope equipped with a lift and artificial snowmaking, forming together a compact winter sports centre.
The complex consists of ski jumps of various sizes – from very small beginner hills for children to jumps with K-points of 15, 35 and 50 metres. Some of the hills are covered with plastic matting. An older and larger hill, Dalhaugbakken (K57), located higher on the same slope, is no longer in use and remains in a state of decay.
Dalhauglia Hoppsenter was primarily designed as a training centre. From its early years, it operated a ski jumping school which soon became an important element in the development of young athletes in the region. The complex has often served as a venue for local youth competitions and club training sessions.
The facility is run by a local foundation established in 2002, and it continues to be part of the municipality’s sports infrastructure. Local sources still describe it as an actively used recreational and training venue.
