History:

The ski jumping facility in Knapstad, located between Elvestad and Spydeberg, was built in 1932. During World War II, it fell into disrepair, but still some eager jumpers used it even though there was no inrun tower. In 1952, the ski jump was rebuilt with a proper inrun tower made of concrete foundations and iron masts. A couple of these are still visible - the only remnants of glorious ski jumping days.
