History:

In Latvian Daugavpils in 1937, the first ski jumping hill was constructed, which was destroyed during World War II. After the war, a new facility, located in the Stropos forest, directed towards Lake Gubiščes, was opened at the end of January 1956. It was possible to jump up to 20-25 meters on the hill. In 1968, the jumper and trainer Germans Počekins, who lived in Daugavpils, started to rebuild the destroyed facility, but his military appointment ended his efforts.
