History:

The ski jump, located within Koide Park and the Koide Ski Area in the city of Uonuma (Niigata Prefecture), has K50 and HS54 parameters and is an all-season facility covered with artificial surface. It is one of the few permanent ski jumps in Niigata Prefecture. The hill adjoins the alpine ski slopes, and from its surroundings there is a view of Koide town, the valley of rice fields, and the Echigo Sanzan mountain range. For many years, mainly youth and regional competitions have been held here, including the Uonuma City Cosmos Jump and the Uonuma Lions Club Cup, as well as elementary, junior high, and high school events within the Niigata Ski Association calendar. Koide plays an important role in training ski jumpers from the region — among those who trained here were future Japanese national team member Reruhi Shimizu and future national team head coach Kento Sakuyama.
