History:

After the Geiersberg-Schanze was closed at the beginning of the 1960s, an attempt was made to build a new ski jumping hill in Kemtau at the beginning of the 1970s. On the slope above the church, excavation work for a new pioneer hill, which should allow jumps of up to 25 meters, began in 1972. However, it was never completed. Nonetheless, the piled-up take-off table and the outrun can still be seen today.
