History:

Lollo Wahle was a Winterberg veteran and a great promoter of winter sports. He was chairman of the Winterberg ski club from 1928 to 1945 and then honorary chairman until his death. He ran a practice as a dentist in Hauptstrasse 20 (today "Altstadt Cafe"). In honour of his services to the ski club and the West German Ski Association, the Winterberg ski club decided on 23 November 1958 to name the new junior hill in the small Büre "Lollo-Wahle-Schanze". The inauguration took place on 31 December 1958. The wooden structure of the ski jump was demolished in 1971 and replaced by a natural inrun.
