History:

In mid 1960's the "Ski- und Wanderclub Regensburg" started with the construction of a ski sports center at Grün near St. Englmar.
The first 20 meter hill was set up on a unused downhill slope, were today's rope tow is located.
But this hill did soon not fulfill the club jumpers' requirements anymore and so a new natural ski jumping hill was set up in a forest aisle on the grounds of hotel restaurant "Reinerhof". After consultation of ski jump architect Heini Klopfer SWC member Hans Rassl planned the hill and supervised the works. At voluntary work assignments the ski club was supported by a friendly contractor from Regensburg.
Internal club championships and city cups of Regensburg were usually organized on the hill, with the highlights of Upper Palatinate championships in 1969 and 1970. Lack of snow and the extensive preparations works were the reasons why the ski jumping hill was closed down in 1972.
