The Vorwaldschanze ski jump was built in 1982 by members of the WSV Otterskirchen club based on plans by Hans Bauer. The first test jumps took place in 1983 during Faschingsdienstag (Shrove Tuesday), and the official opening was held on February 19, 1984, in the presence of around 400 spectators. The facility consisted of two hills: a larger one with a construction point of K-33 and a smaller one of K-18, and was built entirely by the club members themselves, without any external financial support.
The hill complex hosted many competitions, featuring both local and international jumpers. For example, in 2010, a tournament was held with 30 participants from various clubs, and the winner was Thomas Garhammer from WSV Otterskirchen, known for his successes in regional and national competitions in Germany as well as his participation in international junior tournaments.
Over the years, the ski jumps were used less and less frequently, until they were eventually abandoned. At the request of the landowner, they were completely dismantled on March 28–29, 2014.
