History:

In December 1952, the SV Wittlensweiler decided to build a ski jump at the quarry in Birkhölzle. The opening of the ski jumping hill with a wooden inrun tower, which they had fully built themselves, took place on February 15, 1953. For many years, the Wittenlensweiler ski jumpers were very active under the direction of Walter Dölker and held their own jumping competitions. In 1965, the ski jump was also renovated. Over time, however, the tower became dilapidated and finally had to be demolished on December 16, 1972. This meant the end of ski jumping in Wittlensweiler, the district of Freudenstadt.
