History:

Already in 2001 the planning of John Nike Group for the construction of a winter sports area at Gresford near Wrexham in northeast Wales had started. For around 7m Pounds three ski jumping hills, a skiing slope, a toboggan run and chalets should be developed. In 2008 construction works had started already, but had to be stopped due to a lacking statement in 2009. Since there has been no progress.
