History:

Pekkarin hyppyrimäki was built in 1956 in the place where nowadays Maunulanpuisto park is located. It had a wooden inrun tower and a really low take-off. The hill allowed to jump over 25 metres - its record was 26 m jumped by Juhani Ormo and Kari Nyberg. During 1980s the tower was demolished. Later the former landing zone has been tampered with a service tunnel inlet.
