The ski jump in Kouty nad Desnou (Annaberg-Schanze, Czech: Skokanský můstek Annín) was an interwar facility located on the forested slopes above the settlement of Kouty nad Desnou in the Hrubý Jeseník range, within the area of today’s municipality of Loučná nad Desnou in the Šumperk region. The chosen slope in the upper part of the Desná Valley allowed for a relatively long and natural landing hill, offering a view over the village.
The ski jump was built in 1928 in the Annín area, and its construction and maintenance were overseen by the Sokol Šumperk club, which during the interwar period acted as the most important skiing centre in this part of the Jeseníky Mountains. The facility served mainly athletes from the Šumperk ski jumping section and nearby towns, becoming one of the key venues for the developing skiing scene in the Desná Valley.
The most active period of the Annaberg-Schanze occurred in the 1920s and 1930s, when winter sports were rapidly expanding throughout the region. After World War II, the jump was rebuilt once more and used again for a short time, but in the following years its importance declined, and the structure gradually fell into disrepair. Eventually it ceased to exist and is now classified as a completely destroyed site, with no clearly visible remains in the terrain.
Today, Kouty nad Desnou is best known for the modern Ski areál Kouty ski resort, operating since the 21st century and offering extensive downhill infrastructure, including the first six-seater chairlift in the Czech Republic.
